Natural dessicated med possibility?

My schedule has gone bonkers and I just don't get out here as often as I'd like so I apologize if I have missed this conversation and repeating information.
My father in law gets a newsletter from Dr Julian Whitaker (spelling?) in California.  I know he's well known for some folks.  Dad gave me a newsletter about thyroid medicince and it says:

Naturethroid is a good possibility or there is something out there called Women's International Pharmacy...He says you can get a natural dessicated thyroid prescription filled and people report that they get as good results as with Armour thyroid.  You can contact them at 800-279-5708 or www.womensinternational.com

I have not done my  homework on this yet, but was hoping it might be a good possibility for folks on the natural...I am on synthroid and dr's don't even talk about the natural here.  

He also went on to say that the issues with Armour thyroid may have as much to do with government interference as anything as the government is making things that are considered natural go thru more testing or something to that effect.  Sorry, it's been a really long day. I hope this makes sense.  : )
