Yep, what they said. It has astounded me how simply being low but still in the normal range for my thyroid hormones is able to debilitate every system of my body and mind. Doctors simply do not take low thyroid levels seriously enough. I spent many years being "low" but normal before I got Graves and it was only because of Graves that my doctors finally paid attention to my thyroid. As I've been treated with anti-thyroid drugs I've had the not so lovely experience of seeing what different places feel like in the thyroid hormone levels. I was shocked to realize how much my life previously had been compromised by low thyroid levels.
So long story short Crazythyroid, muster up what energy you've got and get copies of those labs and prepare to be assertive because you deserve to feel better!
Yeah it sounds like under treated hypothyroidism.
We still need to see your thyroid related test results and their reference ranges in order to best assess the adequacy of your testing and treatment.
No I has been on the antidepressants long before they started decreasing my synthyroid dosage.
These all sound like symptoms of under-treated hypothyroidism to me too.
let's look at the facts. The clinical response.
For 20 years you felt fine and no need for anti-depressants.
They lower your thyroid dose and all of a sudden you become symptomatic and need additional anti-depressants etc.
Now it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the cause and the cure for this does it??????
Under what pretenses did the Dr you are seeing now see fit to lower your dosage? And how blind is this Dr to not see the harm that this change has caused.
I would demand upping your dosage or even threaten a malpractice lawsuit becaue clearly the evidence is on your side!
Just my opinion!
Please post your thyroid related test results and their reference ranges as shown on the lab report.
