Newly diagnosed, On meds less than 1 wk, SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES

So, I am much less uninformed than the rest of you!  I was just diagnosed last week, I know my TSH was 4.33 and they want it below 4.  Was put on 25 mcg of levothyroxine on Thursday, May 6, and today I woke up to swollen lymph nodes (so bad you can see them from the outside) and a sore throat.  Not to mention that I got my period 10 days early today, and I am on the pill.  Anyone have any ideas for me?  I am kinda scared and as my anxiety is increasing, so is the tightness in my throat.

The pill and thyroid issues/hormones are not so good to mix. My daughter is nine and born without a thyroid gland. She will never be able to take the pill as it creates more problems then it is worth. She will have to find an alternative to it. Look into it. Also, calcium and iron can interfere so seperate suppliments by four hours minimum. Hang in there and let us know if you have any other questions.

I know it's easy to tell someone to calm down, but letting your anxiety take over will make it worse. I take the same thing and have been on it for years. Once in awhile if I forget my meds and take it the next day, mine swell up and I get the sore throat too. It takes time to readjust to the meds sometimes. Call your Dr in the morning and tell him about it. meanwhile, try to stay calm. I'm 47 and have been on thyroid meds since 1993.
