No Period ? Is this due to underactive thyroid ?

Hi All
It's ages since ive been on here hope someone can help.
The Dr lowered my thyroxine a couple of months ago any way I am normally quite heavy and it's five days. Well this time theres hardly anything there, this is so weird for me ive nevr been like that I am 42 but surely things carn't happen that quick !!
I'll point out I'm on progesterone leading up to cycle for 14 days and recently stopped a beta blocker. I've also put on alot of weight it's not as if I am over eating, any way going for bloods on the 23rd of June.
Thanks for listening !
Love
Lorraine xx

I hv no period for a year before I was dxd with hypothyroid.  Or I was to sent to check hypothyroid because I don't have period, unsure which happened first.  I'm 27.  I'm now on estrogen progesterone replacement and I got back my period :)   .  Funny things is when I stop taking est progs, the period didn't appear.  I'm also on levo.  I'm secondary hypothyroid, meaning that pituitary is not doing it's job to sufficiently support thyroid function, so as the female function.

Hi back. Same thing happens to me and I'm also cycling BHRT. When they lower my meds, especially the T3, I get nothin". Before I was put on meds at all, I was hemorrhaging for the first 2 days, bleeding through every 20 minutes, and I'm OLD. It normalized with T4/T3, but not on T4 only. and I gained 40 lbs. though I eat very little.

You're not alone ! Hang in there. Post yer labs w/ the ranges when you get them, and don't wait for the follow-up appointment. Sign a release and have them send you your labs directly.
