I'm on Synthroid 125 and Cytomel 5mcg per day. Had a TT 3 years ago and only took Synthroid till this past Jan when my free T3 came back low. He put me on cytomel without adjusting my synthroid at first and it's been a rollercoaster of playing with the meds. I think we finally got it right!
Good to hear. Are you on thyroid meds, or was this just routine testing?
It was Free T3 that's 2.8. And I feel great, no symptoms at all. I was just curious since getting that number to the "normal" range and keeping me feeling well has been the goal.
I believe that is a test for free T3 (FT3), not total T3. Since lab results will vary from lab-to-lab, they sometimes have their own slight variation in reference ranges. That said, the range for FT3 that I see on my lab report shows 2.3 - 4.2 Pg/ml. Your result is in the lower end of that range. If you have no hypo symptoms, that result is just fine. If you still have lingering hypo symptoms, be aware that members frequently report that relief of symptoms for them required that FT3 was adjusted into the upper part of its range and FT4 adjusted to at least midpoint of its range.
