Do I have Hormonal problems

I believe I have hormonal problems. I do not have my period very often 4-5 time a year. I have HORRIBLE mood swings, Deppresion, anger, annoyed, crying, happiness, sadness, loneliness, Im tired most days when I get up in the morning for several hours. I can be wide awake and then all of a sudden I am almost falling asleep for no reason. I do not have the money to go to the doctor to get tested. I am, though, in the process of signing up for some help to get a free doctor. My question is
Do this sound like a hormonal thing? And if so What test should I ask the doctor to give me once I am able to go.
Thanks
S.

Hi,, I was thinking the very same..  Sounds like  maybe hypothyroidism??  Hopefully you can find a way to be tested and atleast start on some meds to help you..  Having the adrenals tested isn't an easy task though.  Most docs  will test your cortisol levels by bloodwork and that's not  really the most acurate way to go.. Saliva and urine is much more cutting edge and more acurate.. But this is also very costly to do and  most traditional docs don't even  know it exists and/or are  not up to date in it either.. Starting with your T>S.H and a complete panel evaluating your thyroid is the best way to start ..  ( just my opinion) Best of luck to you : )

These sound like symptoms of hypothyroidism.  If you can't go to the MD, try going to the County Hospital.  Tell them your symptoms and that you think you have a thyroid problem. They will do lab tests.  Make sure you ask for full panel including TSH for  thyroid and go from there.  They will at least get you started on meds.  Ask about adrenal test, also.  Good luck.
