OT: A Good Easter Laugh

The second Easter my dh and I were together we had his little girl.  I was sooo excited about getting her a pretty little outfit, going to church together, and of course dying the eggs.

So while the 2 of them are in the living room watching TV I'm in the kitchen getting the eggs ready to dye.  Everything's going great, I'm so excited!  Call them in to color the eggs, my husband picks up one of the eggs and gets the dumbest look on his face.  I had peeled the boiled eggs.  My husband has made sure I never forget it.  Every year at Easter he reminds me not to peel the eggs and then tells everyone at church the story again.

yeah,teenagers are something else,I had 4 of them plus a 11 year old!!!!! No wonder i have problems.......not really,they are fun. Enjoy them while you can,they will be grown sooner than you think......TIME FLIES......Mine all live real close by,plus the grandbabies! Sometimes i think I've started all over again!!!!!!!

That's too funny, Dac!!  We didn't even color them this year.  I really miss the old days when the boys were younger and got excited about that stuff.  They didn't even help put ornaments on the Christmas tree this year.  Teenagers......you gotta love 'em.  

Reminds me of something I heard a while back that made me smile.  "Raising teenagers is like trying to nail jello to a tree".  Couldn't be more true at times!

Tried to dye them, but the color just kept running off!  Whatta ya do?

We were dyeing Easter eggs one year and my brother picked up a cup of what he thought was coffee and it was Easter egg dye that someone had mixed a bunch of colors together so it was real dark.  It was so funny seeing the expression on this face from drinking vinegar.

At least I am not the only one here with those kind of stories and man............ could I fill a book :)

That's cute!  Ya know, I'd probably have gone ahead and dyed them anyway - just for the sake of saving face.  Hope tomorrow is as memorable, but for better reasons. Enjoy!
