What is the ideal dose of Synthroid "post opp" of a complete thyroidectomy?
The starting dose will depend also on your weight. I started on 125. Now, over two years later, I am doing well on 150.
Everyone is different. It took me about a year to get me on the correct dosage. I was on 200mcg for 12yrs, than 175 & 150 mcg for two (for some reasons my TSH levels changed). Now for the past year I am at 125 mcg.
I think alot will depend on how you feel / symptoms on certain dose, but most doctors will go by your TSH levels anyway.
