Pathology results of TT

It was metastatic papillary carcinoma of the thyroid with metastases in three out of five nodes; next step is to see endocrinologist.  I'm assuming radioactive iodine pills and body scan followed by medication is in store for me.  The good news is that the oncologist does not think (99%) that I have multiple myeloma, which was a possibility a month ago.  So I have a lot to be thankful for; life is a trade-off.  What can we do but try to look on the bright side, if we can find it.   As I am typing this, I'm watching the program about Randy Pausch (The Last Lecture), who passed away last Friday.  What a positive attitude he had.  We can all learn about living life from his example.  It helps to know we are not alone on this journey.  Forums like this one, with caring people mean so much.

I am *so* glad for you that it's not multiple myeloma.   Papillary carcinoma is a diagnosis that, while not good, is manageable.   Please keep up the great attitude and keep us posted.
