Persistent thyroid cancer with thyroidectomy, ablation & lymph node removal?

I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 1992. Had subtotal thyroidectomy in 1993 which revealed muscular invasion outside capsule, followed by 2 radioactive ablations a year apart. Tg was low but still measurable after that and has been since. No metasteses could be found on PET, radioactive or ultrasound tests. Three years ago an US revealed a cervical lymph node positive for thyroid cancer recurrence. Had a radical neck dissection on that side of the neck in 2014 and only one lymph node was cancerous.  In July, an US revealed another papillary thyroid cancer positive lymph node on the other side of my neck. Was referred to an endocrine surgeon who said I have "persistent disease" not a recurrence. Options I was told are to follow for 3-6 months with US and Tg monitoriing, an alcohol ablation or surgery again. Just wondering if anyone in this group has been in this situation and what you decided to do.

I don't know of current members who have had a similar situation, but perhaps someone will show up.

Do I understand correctly, that you still have part of your thyroid left?
