You absolutely should have a celebration on the 1st of February! What an accomplishment. This chicken is so proud of you!!!

Another SMOKE-FREE CHICKEN!!!!! My stop date was February 1, 2007, a date I don't think I'll ever forget. At one year I think I'll have a celebration!
Had to get on here tonight for some reason, think this was it!!!

My dad did the same thing a year and a half ago, and has been smoke free ever since. He was amazed at how he was not craving as well!! A whole group of us (about 8 - friends and relatives) went about 6 months after he did - to the same guy. It ended up not working for the rest of us. :-( BUT, my dad was ready to quit - and I think that's the key. You have to have the right mindset to do it.
Some of us also attended the weight loss session afterward. Needless to say, 2 months later I found out about the Hashi's and my year pretty much went downhill from there. I truly believe that the stress of the whole thing brought the symptoms full force. They say that stress and auto-immune disorders do NOT mix well. Guess they're right. But if that hadn't happened, I still would be walking around with a cancerous nodule in my neck and not know. Things happen for a reason!
Like GA7 said, I can go back anytime he's back around for free. I may give it a shot again. Now I have even more weight to lose, and hope that I can do it with my thyroid gone.
Venora, congrats on taking the first step toward quitting!! I'm very proud of you, so cluck-cluck away! Stay strong, and take one day at a time. There is an awesome website out there for support. It's at quitnet dot com. If you haven't been there before, give it a try. Lots of supportive people out there - very much like here.
Keep up the quit!!!

~: > )= bawk, bawk!!!
I had it done also it cost me about 500.00, and I smoked 5 cigs, on the way home, so I give it a waste of money . They said I could go get it again as many times needed for free, but yet to go back again. When you are really Hypo and your mind is not in the right frame of state it dont sink in,
Ellen Degeneres underwent hypnosis to quit smoking, too. She announced it on her show earlier in the spring. She updates now and then and still hasn't had the urge to smoke! I think it is amazing. I wonder how well it works for other things?
Good for you!!
