Thanks everyone!
I'm taking 50 mcg Syntroid, Oscal 500mg+D (4xday), Nexium 40mg, Naproxen 550mg, Inderal 20mg (2xday), Trazadone 100mg & Celexa. I get this crazy burning sensation in my chest and arms and then it gets tight and my arms stay tingling, almost like a blood pressure cuff is on. I thought about going to the ER but they are packed tonight seeing as its a holiday weekend.
Then I started to panic thinking that I'm having a heart attack, which I know I'm not because I had a echo-stress test about 3 weeks ago and everything was normal and looked good. Dealing with thyroid problems has been one of the toughest things I've ever dealt with.
In a word; Yes! It is very common to have tingling in many areas of the body. After my TT I had it mainly in the lips, cheeks, fingers and forearms.
It is vital you make sure you take calcium. Also the fact you are low on the others means you need to take a supplement which has those in it. The sodium you can easily get by just adding some salt to your diet. Not too much though!
Are you on any medication yet for your thyroid? Low levels can cause the feeling of being very cold. I am holidaying here in USA and find that as soon as it hits around 65 F I am shivering, everyone else is still in short sleeved tops! I am slightly hypo so I know that is my usual symptom.
Hope the TT went well for you.
Cheers
The tingling is a symptom of low calcium. Were you put on calcium supplements when you left hospital? What dose? You should be monitored for calcium levels until they return to normal. It is very important. I had and still have low calcium, and am checked every 3 or 4 weeks. When I had my TT I was checked twice a week. Good luck.
