I am so sorry you had the add'l complications. I know of one other member who had similar complications and she is ok.
The tight feeling may be helped with a u shaped pillow behind your neck when sitting. It takes awhile for the internal stitches to heal ... that is why you feel tight and also internal swelling I'm sure.
May I ask why you had the TT .. maybe we can help with some advice for aftercare based on your diagnosis b4 the surgery and WELCOME!!!

I had a partial thyroidectomy ten days ago,I go to have my stitiches removed tomorrow. My question is: I'm coughing frequently, uncontrollably and feels like something's in the way down my throat, has anyone else experienced this? Also,I'm feeling cold off and on,and feeling tired.Information would be much appreciated.
Sorry you had a difficult time with the surgery. Yes, it is all normal, and it does take about 2 to 3 weeks before you will feel better, and able to move about as normal. Don't lift anything heavy for about 2 weeks. The tight feeling is all the internal stitching pulling everything in nice and tight. That feeling will fade in a few weeks.
