I had my complete thyroid removed last Thursday. My surgeon and endocrinologist already had me taking huge doses of Vitamin D and calcium to prepare my body for surgery. They were in agreement the 2.0 cm nodule was most likely cancerous. On Saturday, I started on Synthroid. By Saturday afternoon I was feeling better than I had in months. Today (Monday), I returned to work part time and have felt wonderful. I go back on the 18th to get the results from the pathologist and upcoming treatment which sill include the radioactive iodine pill. I was just wondering, is this normal? To feel so good so fast doesn't seem possible.
Thanks!
