you need to be placed on thyroid replacement meds and referred to an endocrinologist ASAP (make sure the endo deals with thyroid problems - most deal with diabetes)
No, I haven't been referred to one--my family dr. just gave me this news today---don't know yet what the plan of action will be
Most of us who have experienced TSH levels that high have done so during cancer treatment. Short term it just makes you feel horrible. Long term, yes, it can be very serious. Are you being treated by, or referred to, and endocrinologist?
