Thank you, I appreciate that. I have been doing a lot of research. It seems to consume my life right now. I'm finishing my 2nd book from the library & have found so much help on this web-site & it has helped me greatly on making my decission to do the RAI instead of surgery. I am scheduled for Oct 28th & 29th. Thank you all for your help.
Research all you can and yell out if you need help getting through RAI...its not as bad as you think if you are well prepared for BEFORE RAI and know what to expect and what NOT to expect.
Hugs xxx
Thank you for your help. I have an appointment for RAI Oct 29th. I have read so many horror stories that I'm not sure what to expect afterwards. I only have Graves & Hyperthyriodism, no goiters or anything else.
I had the RAI about 16yrs ago for graves/hyper/toxic goiter, no problems from it...however, it did not work for me, so ended up with a TT anyway.
No.
The Graves antibodies attack only the thyroid .
As for RAI...I had it 2 and half years ago and breezed through it but will admit to ANYONE that I was scared as he// beforehand because of some of the 'fabricated' horror stories floating around the Internet.
