Was anyone that was on the reformulated Armour and had re-occurring hypo symptoms able to resolve the symptoms by just increasing their dose before it was unavailable by August? I ask this since I am able to find some again.
So was it the corn startch that made the new formulation crumble when splitting and also made it impossible to take sublingialy? Besides this, some people that swallow the tablets noted increased hypo symptoms. I had some increased hypo symtyms my self in July and was still increasing the Armour since I started on it in May. So I was unable to increase the dose due to the unavailability by late August. When I could not get Armour anymore I had to switch to a generic that is running out now, so its time to switch back to the newly formulated Armour while my local stores have the one grain.
Who knows, Maybe the new formulation just requires a heftier dose for some people to get the hypo symptoms to go away? On some other website I read peoples comments on how sick and hypo the new Armour was making them. People had furious, almost raging comments on other web sites at the time. Now that the smoke has cleared, it seems that increasing the meds would make them better. Is there more to it than this?
If some people were 'sick' on the new formulation (besides hypo symtyms), what was it. 'Sick' is to general a term to get to the bottom of this. Note: I understand those that used to take it sublingualy, and I could not split it anymore (my gripe). Maybe they dont want people to split it anymore so customers need two scripts per month instead of one, its all about the $.
I'm just educating myself on the facts before I start taking the reformulated Armour again, I admit I'm not thrilled, I like my generic but all generic dessicated (Major and Time Caps) have stopped production for good. Besides people complaining, it will be beneficial for some to resolve this reformulation and move on. If we all move to Nature Throid and something happens to that company, then what? When all is available again, options if possible, are best for all. Two options is not much (scary future, hello Canada?).
thanks, LM
