Personally Redhead, I think your FT4 is low for the ranges and so is your FT3.
Get back to your Doctor as the tsh is low but the Free's should be higher.
By taking more T4, you are only going to take your tsh down even lower and maybe cause drug induced hyper with the tsh but you still need to get those Free's up a bit.
Maybe T3 is for you.
You shouldve started to even out by now.
If your FT4 range is 9.0 -25.0 , then yr Ft4 level of 16.7 is still a little low.
I would say that it should be around the 20.0 mark if not a fraction higher.
And yr FT3 could do with a little hike to around 4.5.
I realise everyone is different but with yr tsh under 1.0, the free's should be higher than what they are.
Just my personal opinion.
Let us know how you go.
just wanted to stop by and say hello ... C~
Yeah, the funny thing is both the Free T4 and Free T3 are falling....but the endo said it was nothing to worry about, just my levels settling...been 16 months since the TT!
I am losing hair, having heavy periods, and sleeping terribly again. But of course with hyper symptoms too! my Free T4 previous test was 26.7..now 16.7..so that is a huge drop. The Free t3 has been dropping slowly but steadily all along. Still on same dose but obviously I need T3 as well. I had low normal parathyroid function and low normal pituitary function..so now need to kick some botty bots I think!
Going to USA in August so I certainly do not want to be bleurgh for that!
Deb, am on Oroxine only. 100mcgs.
I seemed to be much happier on 114.3mcgs even though my Free T4 was way up at nearly 29.0! Hmmm decisions decisions, T3 or up the dose?
Shouldve read......
Like my FT3 at 4.5 (3.5-5.0)
And my FT4 at 17.5 (10.-19.0)
Redhead...my levels are higher than yours and if I may so, looks like you are borderline hypo with the FT3 and FT4.
I find my Free's good when they are 3/4 near the top of range.
Like my FT3 at 4.5 (3.4-5.0)
And my FT4 at 17.5 (10.-19.0)
Maybe get your Free's up a bit and see how that affects the TSh.
Although I get the tremors when Hypo.
Hope that helps.
Maybe your getting 'crossover' symptoms because yr tsh is normal but yr Free's are a bit low.
Are you on Eutroxig (T4) or T3 med too?
Food for thought??
I would say it is because your T3 level is soooo low normal. That gives me the shakes and palps when my T3 level drops too low for my body. I don't think your T4 level is too high. Your T3 to T4 ratio is very off though, which makes me wonder if you are having bad conversion problem. I think you need T3 med with your thyroxine. Just my thought though. :)
