Stopped thyroid meds because of insomnia

I am in a dilemma. I stopped the Liothyonine (17mcg) and the Levothyroxine (85 mcg) because of insomnia..my Free T4 is .90 ng/dl and my free T3 is 91 ng/dl, and my TSH is 12.860...I am definitely gaining weight and my cholesterol seems to be going up even though I am vegetarian and pretty careful about fat..I have tried Armour in the past, and it worked for a while and then I switched to the Lio/Levo combination above..That seemed to work for a while until I began to get jittery and bouts of insomnia..As a result, I am off all thyroid meds..My doctor wants me on the above thyroid meds every other day..I am trying extra virgin coconut oil, 2 tlbps. every day to see if it will stimulate my thyroid..I also take 4 drops of lugol's solution(iodine)..I am resisting the medication route..Anyone have this experience and used other treatments with success?  Thanks

Please post the reference ranges on yout FT4 and T3 as they vary lab to lab so you have to post them with results.  Also, are you sure that's a free T3?  Your result looks to me more like a total T3.

There really are no other treatments for hypo.  Replacement of hormones is the only treatment.

It's quite possible that your dose only needed a little fine-tuning to make you feel and sleep better.  In order to figure out how to do that, we'd have to look at the whole picture...FT3, FT4 and TSH.

How long before the posted labs had you stopped the meds?  Did you have labs run just before stopping?

You did not post values for your labs but I can tell that with those numbers you must feel awful.  Just my 2 cents, I don't think you can do it naturally.  Can you start super slow and move up with the meds?  I have just started too and don't feel great, maybe it is just your body adjusting.  Can you take something to help you sleep?  Feel better.
