For some reason, I failed to see your reply to this.
I have considered trying Synthroid with Cytomel but so afraid to rock the boat. Still may do it because I really am covered in them. Just live in long sleeves and stay covered up but it is hard to do.
Thanks for all of your help...
When I read your comments about the white spots it made me wonder why not switch to an equivalent dose of T4 plus T3 med. If the white spots are related in some way to the desiccated med, it should be readily apparent.
Hey, I was surprised to see this question, its been so long. Well I'm now on Nath throid, still have the white spots, I don't want to change to a t4 med so I'll just have to put up with it. Thanks for telling me about yourself and your dealing with these white spots. thanks deb
I just sent a reply to your question from 2013 regarding white spots and armour thyroid. I sent it to Lazy Moose by mistake, please look it up and read. So sorry, meant to send it to you.

I just ran across your question from 2013. I too have white spots that began when I switched from Synthroid to Armor Thyroid. The first time I noticed it was right after thyroid surgery. I was put on Armor Thyroid and noticed white spots and some blisters on the sides of my lower legs. It seemed to get worse. My doctor changed my Thyroid to Synthroid, not because of the spots but for other reasons. Then the spots disappeared and skin returned to normal. While on Synthroid I had perfect skin as I always had. Because of low T3, I was put back on Armor and then I noticed the spots returning. I have been on if for years now and I am covered in white spots. I wear long sleeves to cover it and avoid all sun.
I had wondered myself if it was due to Armor. Didn't know if I was allergic to it or not. My doctor says my body is attacking it's own skin as foreign, I wonder if it is because it is pig hormone in the pills and it is rejecting it somehow. You are the first one that has ever mentioned it before, but others may exist. Let me know if you ever resolved yours.
Thanks

Goggle Vitaligo.
Its a skin condition that effects the pigment color. The un-pigmentd areas are more blotchy in shape than just spots.
The darker your skin the more obvious it is.
It will not tan and should be covered in sun - more prone to skin cancer from UV.
People with any autoimmune disease can get this too.
No known cure yet. Some say PABA ( a B vitamin) will reverse it. I've tried for almost one year- did nothing. Some say H- pylori stomach bacteria is to blame, I tested negative.\
So much for cures so far.
