T4 dosage question
has anyone been told to take their normal dose of t4 six times a week and 1.5 dose one time a week? my endo just told me to take my normal 75mcg levothroid mon thru sat and then take 100mcg on sundays. this makes no sense to me.
i was on 50mcg july 2007 until feb 2008 and increased to 75mcg due to not feeling any better. i still have the same symptoms (always cold/bbt is 96.1, weight gain even with limited calories and good workout program, poor memory, swelling/bloating/water retention, very tired & fatigued). i am in the process of running a bunch of labs. cushings came back negative, waiting to verify if i have a hereditary adrenal tumor. my TPOAB is still high and my TSH is high so the endo called today and said to take my normal dose all week and then 112.5mcg on sundays (i said 100 before but that's wrong he wants me taking 1.5 pills on sunday). i will try it. how long did it take you to notice a difference in the way you felt and to drop your TSH?
