I would go to another doctor and have blood tests done for thyroid. There is no way to tell if there is a problem if this is not done. If this doctor will not cooperate, get another, preferably an endocrinologist who specializes in the thyroid. Also have your adrenals checked, too.
Thank you so much for your help. I will go to another docter and get their opinion.
Has your present doctor tested your thyroid function recently?
no actually, its been a long time since they were last done but i just wondered if these were thryoid deficiency symtoms and maybe see if others have them and know how to deal with them but i should go and have them tested again first anyway. Thanks.
These are definetly thyroid symptoms, Hypothyroidism. I agree with ifupleze get another doctor ASAP. I have those same symptoms on a daily basis and I am Hypo with Hashimoto's. Hope this helps.
I was asking because I was wondering if you had clearly requested a current TSH test from the doctor you already have.
If you need to change then you need to, but sometimes it is a communications issue that more directness can resolve.
If your current doctor is actually blocking you getting tested then find another. If you specifically request that you be tested for thyroid the current doctor may do the test easily.
Your symptoms are compatible with thyroid problems, but are also common in many other conditions.
Get the test, either from you current doc or a different one, and then work from there.
Good luck.
