TSH 0.01/heart palpitations

Hi, I recently began having irregular heartbeats after being on cytomel 50mcg for 2 weeks. It initially started about a week after taking the drug, but has continually worsened.  My doctor took me off of it on Monday and I had blood tests ran Tuesday.  I have an appt with a cardiologist for an echo.  My question is, if the cytomel was indeed not needed and my current TSH is 0.01, FreeT3 is 2.9 and FT4 is 0.8, will this normalize without more meds?  I can't remember the initial TSH but was being treated for "clinical hypothyroidism" due to fatigue, dry skin, etc.  How long does it take cytomel to clear you system and the thyroid to adjust, or will it?  I have an appt with an endo now because my PCP is now concerned??? I have no underlying medical illnesses that I am aware of.  I am 37 y.o.

Thanks
PK

That is an extremely high amount of cytomel to start someone on! wow! It is weird that your Free T3 level was still only low normal range while being on such a high amount of T3 med. Your free T4 level was low as well. Your TSH shows hyper...I think further evaluation of your pituitary function might be in order as well. Maybe a reverse T3 test as well.
That high of an amount of cytomel all at once is enough to give you palps! It probably wasn't compounded into a time release form either was it?
What were your lab results when first diagnosed?

Hi .. I'm not a doctor but I would think a TSH of the # could certainly cause heart palps.  Keep us posted.  I get anxiety with anying <1.5!!!
