TSH 0.1 T4 36 - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All - Can anyone help me.... I have had a letter from the docs suggesting a telephone appointment re blood results but this isn't until next week!  In the mean time with much persuading with the receptionist I have found out that my TSH is 0.01 and my T4 36 does this mean hyperthyroidism as hypothyroidism runs in my family.  Please someone reply soooon as am amxious.

Thank you all x

Your levels all point to Hyperthyroidism.
Ask your Doc to run an FT3 test as this is most important.
Let is know how you go.
Your Doc should put you on Carbimazole for a while to get the FT4 down and the TSH up.

hi thanks for that, i really appreciate an answer, i will find out tomorrow i guess with my phone appointment with the Doc... In the meantime, what is hyperthyroid (subclinical)?.

Symptoms?  I have always had hair loss since having my babies 11yrs ago!  In more recent times I have been exhausted and what I can only describe as slow in pace... No energy for my little ones.   I am having weight loss but I put that down to my diet but not so sure now, nails have always been brittle and I do get hot ter than I used to but I put that down to my age along with my bones/joints in my lower body aching and hurting on rest.

Thanks again :)

It would suggest that you are hyperthyroid (subclinical),Im not sure about your T4 36 looks a bit high! Im hypo so I dont know much about hyperthyroidism! In my opinion though I think u need to be put on thyroid meds for hyperthyroidism.....
Have you any symptoms??
