TSH 2.270, but hyperthyroid symptoms.

I have been having hyperthyroid symptoms, but my Endo said I am fine because my TSH is 2.270.  I was told to stop my medication for 3 days and then start my normal dose again.  Why stop and start at the same does?  could 2.270 not be a good number for me?  I cannot get my Endo to answer these questions and I am very frustrated.

I do not know what my FT3, FT4 levels are.  I take synthroid 0.2 mg once a day.  my symptoms were heart palpitations, shaking hands, loss of appetite.  I had an EKG done and it is not my heart.
