TSH level; Patient's report

I am asking another question re TSH and T3 levels. I started at 125mcg of synthroid and had a low TSH level and I went to an endocrinoligist who changed my meds to 75 mcg synthroid and 5 mcg cytomel. I felt ok at this level and my TSH blood level was 1.2 and the T3 level was 1.8 which the doctor said was low. So, I am now on 1/2 of 125 mcg per day and 10mcg cytomel and I don't feel good...nothing specific except more anxious and jittery in the morning (when I take Cytomel) In other words, I felt better before this last change (in fact I didn't feel that bad when my TSH was .01). Anyway, I know I am not a doctor, but my endocrinologist (who is very well respected) has been known for looking at the numbers and not at the patient. So, any suggestions? Also, I have gained 10 pounds in the past 9 months which I think occured before the medication changes but would like to take that weight off....Any suggestions on appropriate foods to eat to overcome weight problem while my thyroid issue is still prevalent. I don't overeat or eat too much junk food but want to take that weight off as I know I would feel better. I am 5'3' and 130 pounds and have never weighed that much before!

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I appreciate any feedback that you may have.

Sincerely,
Jill

It is a fast acting T3 med. Totally would make you sensitive after taking it about two hours later. then as AR said - poof .... all the energy gone about 6 hrs later.

It has been known to split the meds. I split my T4/T3 Armour because of the same thing - If I took it all at once I am freaked out - jittery and panic stricken. Then about 4 to 7 hours later - I am drained.

I take my med in dosages at 7am - 11am and 2pm

My med is different - but I think splitting the T3 would help you

Do you split the Cytomel and take it twice a day? Cytomel is fast acting and dissipates quickly, so taking it once a day may make you jittery at first, and leave you out of gas later in the day.

That's what I hear. I have no personal experience with it.
