TSH level confusion!!!

Help :o(
I am a morbidly obese (130kgs @ 5'10'') man with a previously diagnosed Hypothyroid condition.
I am on Cynomel (which i believe is Cytomel in the US) of 0.0125, and 125mcg of Euthyrox (T4). My latest results have come back and show the following:

TSH Basal 0.05 mu/l
FT3 6.4 pmol/l
FT4 15.0 pmol/l

Thats slightly confusing because I thought a low TSH meant i had hyperthyroidism, and vice versa. So, if I have Hypo, then how can my TSH be so low? What can i do about it?

I was diagnosed with colloid goiter last May, 2010. My lates thyroid panel reflects that my FT3 is within range..My FT4 is slightly low but manageable. However, my TSH is 0.01. I am taking euthyrox 100mg per day. What should be the the correct results when taking euthyrox? Thanx..

When taking a T3 med, it's not unusual for the TSH to be suppressed and possibly, you don't need to do anything about it, unless you have hyper symptoms.  I'm on cytomel and my latest TSH was "less than" 0.01.  I don't worry about it, so long as my FT3 and FT4 are okay.

TSH is a pituitary hormone and can fluctuate.  It's not a good indicator of thyroid function.  The results to look at are the FT3 and the FT4, as those are the actual thyroid hormones and correlate best with symptoms.

What are reference ranges for your FT3 and FT4?  These vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report.
