TSH test came back at 100

I have had hypothryoidism for many years.  My TSH level has been bouncing back and forth for high numbers.  My TSH test came back at 100 this time.  I have been diagnoised with clinical depression, I have had what I call "spells" where my speech is effected, my legs are weak when I try to sit down, but I can walk normally.  I was tested for a stroke and all neurological tests were ok.  I was diagnosed with weakness twice.  I have strated gaining weight recently.  My hands shake, I am forgetful, sluggish, no energy, feel like my hair is thinning.  What should I do?

you should ask your doctor about starting levothyroxine to bring the tsh levels down. weight gain, forgetfulness, sluggishness, thinning of hair  are all because of high tsh.you will feel relief wihtin 10 days of starting the thyroid medication.good luck!

Have you been on any thyroid medication for your hypothyroidism? If so, you may need to change the dose. If not, have you had other tests done to show you are truly hypo? You'd need Free T3, Free T4 and antibodies.
Often with clinical depression it becomes a chicken and egg case. Does the depression show hypo or does being hypo bring on depression. Something I have been struggling with myself!
TSH alone is not the whole answer to finding out what to do. This is just a hormone from your pituitary gland via the hypothalamus to trigger your thyroid to work. It is not a hormone from the thyroid. Hence to have the other tests done which can show if you have been getting that hormone to kick start or not your thyroid.
Cheers
