I was not trying to be " sarcastic or higher than thou mighty remarks. " as you stated I was simply pointing out that his heart rate has dropped, it has not been going up and down.
, I think you may have missed read my post about his rates. The 67 you mentioned was a FT4 level " FT4 .67 heart rate was 47 "
I fully understand no one is Doc's here, and that is NOT what I wanted I was asking if anyone has had the same problem of their heart rate steadily going down and not coming back up.
Maybe I should of tried to find another forum since I seem to have caused so much drama with a simple question. Which is not what I intended since this could be fatal for my child and I was just needing a little feed back.
my mother has posted over in the cardo forum also. and they are also thinking it is endro is why I came over here
I stand corrected and do apologies. Neither my spell check nor my Webster Dictionary recognized this. Next time I shall be more careful and look in my Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary - oops! its not in there either. Well I never claimed to be SMART ;)
kitcurious, thanks for the correction - Trivia.
The Holter monitor is named for it's inventor, Dr. Norman Holter.
You listyour sons HR as 88, 64, 60, 52, 67, 46, if that is not considered going up and down, then what is(?) In an adult HR can be anywhere between 50 and 100 and still be considered normal., it depends on the person. I don't know if a 15 year old would be considered adult under these HRs ranges. As I mentioned, HR AND BP per medicals, change even throughout the day. Its when they go out of the above range either direction, is there a concern.
I stated about my HR which was post hormone treatment. That IS what you asked, was it not (?)
The listed Doctor forums was for your convince until you got into you own endo. beings we here are not doctors.
Yes, I know what a halter monitor is! But seems you do not know how to spell it.
We are here to help, voluntarily I my add, and don't deserve sarcastic or higher than thou mighty remarks.
He is seeing the endro, as I stated that is who I posted all the results and visits about. I posted to see if anyone else has had the problem of heart rate dropping post hormone treatment since everything I have read said it should correct it's self with treatment. and his has dropped since treatment.
We also know that it is not a going up and down thing since he had a 48 hour holter monitor test done and his HR was constantly below 50. In case you do not know what a holter monitor test it is a 48 hour ekg.
In other words, my BP fell somewhat since starting the levothyroxine, though for me that was a good thing.
GravesLady is right, please try to post to a cardiology forum.
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos and when I started my thyroid replacement horomone my BP declined notably, but not my HR. One of the docs on the heart forum did answer my question and said that this can happen. I would post a question to a doctor on the heart forum with your specific details as even though they are along the same line they do differ from mine as well.

Heart rate as well as BP, can change, even throughout the day they can very. My heart rate has gone from 46 to 76 various time through my 11 years, of course I'm old ;) If you would feel better, go to an endo. One who works and treats many thyroid patients yearly. If he suggest cardiologist, then it would be warranted to go or if your are not satisfied with the endo.
