Test Results

I had my thyroid removed March of 08 and my recent blood test showed thyroglobulin antibodies still above 20 and my TSH, 3rd generation at 0.06. Why would I show high antibodies when I no longer have a thyroid? They are sending me for more blood test but I don't understand the tests and why they are required. The test are as follows: TSH, FT4, ANA, ultra sensitivity-CRP and DHEA-s or could be a 5. Please help me understand what these other tests will show?

TGab was 219 before my thyroid was removed and now it is 45 which to me is a great number compared to 219.

How high was your TGab before your thyroid was removed?
How high is it now?

It can take a while for antibodies to drop, and they may never drop back down to below upper limit, although sometimes they do.

I can't answer your other questions, but someone else will see your questions and help you.
