Thryoid Nodules

Is it possible for thyroid nodules to just go away?

In some cases an inflammation involving not entire thyroid may appear as nodule on sonogram. when inflammation subsides, a "nodule" may get smaller or disappear

About a year ago, my endo palpated my thyroid and discovered a more prominent nodule.  A couple of months later, I had a U/S, and the nodule was gone.
