i just felt a slight sting as the needle went in, wasn't really painfull although it did ache for a few days afterwards, when i coughes, sneezed etc.
Mine was a nitemare- but I am not in the norm.
I've had 3 done at different times. I got a needle to numb the first time and it only numbs the skin so the biopsy needle can go in. The next time the doctor told me he wouldn't do that, why have 2 needles instead of 1! It is uncomfortable and it does feel kind of odd, but it really isn't too bad. Just have to stay very still for about 5 minutes.
Cheers!
If I remember correctly, they do put something on the area for numbing. It doesn't hurt and is over fairly quickly.Mine was done at outpatients after my office visit with my Endo.
