Order the book Overcoming Thyroid Disorders by Dr. David Brownstein (Amazon.com) He does an excellent job explaining all of this. It really will help you so much. The thyroid world is such a complicated mess. It is an easy read and SOOOO informative. Freet3 and Freet4 are a must! If your doctor won't check these too, then find a doctor who will. Good Luck and God Bless!
No problem. If you haven't had a chance to read the link I gave you previously, have a look at it and consider giving a copy to your doctor and discussing with him the need for the FT3 and FT4 testing and treatment of symptoms, not TSH.
I know, I now realize it's the same question. Sorry!
This is basically the same question that you asked in your prior post. Barb and I explained to you that your doctor should not be medicating you based on TSH. That doesn't work. Yes, it is normal to notice a difference after changing dosage, although 2 weeks is a short time when it is a T4 med. If you will reread our posts you'll find recommendations that the doctor should be testing and adjusting FT3 and FT4 levels with meds, as required to alleviate symptoms.
