Thyroid issue?

I am 32 years old, I have gained almost 65 pounds in 6 months, I have never been large, I have always been about 145 at the most, now I am 210. I have almost ALL of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism, I recently had a CBC done, my TSH results were 104, what does that mean, and my Glucose was 109 without fasting, please help.

Generally, a high TSH means your pituitary gland is trying to tell you thyroid to wake up and produce more hormones, T4 and the like, so your body can function correctly.

I'm a newbie but TSH sounds like it's really high. My TSH was super high too 425 & 370. I had lots of symptons but haven't gained that much weight.

Your next step is to get tested for T3 and T4. With that information your doctor would be able to decide best course of action and if Thyroid meds are required.

I don't think the Glucose numbers have anything to do with it.

I enjoyed reading this link summary on the Mayo Clinic site.
