The lymph nodes are swelling if inflammatory process takes place in the thyroid
Thanks for your help in understanding the radiology report.
I was wondering what "several 1cm lymph nodes are seen on the left side" means?
The heterogeneous nodule means it composed of some solid material suspended in the fluid (possibly colloid); as its size exceeds 1 cm (10 mm) you will be advised to have this nodule biopsied unless it is “Hot” per CT scan..
The hypervascular thyroid can be due to the thyroiditis in the past or autoimmune inflammatory process.
