Hi,
i think ok as long as you are taking it well apart from your thryoid meds, which you are. So no problem.
I thought all ok as well, what do you think of the Soya bean as many are saying stay away from soy products? i wonder if it is the same sort of thing. I dont think i have had a problem having soy myself though so i think it is another case of if it causes you no problem then it should be fine:)
Hypothyroidism is linked to early menopause. I have a journal on some of that. - BUT the link lies on estroGEN - ( see the GEN on that word - that is a BIG ONE.) dominance. Not that estrodiol that is usually low and causing those symptoms.
HAve you read Knock Out by Suzanne Sommers... I would take a peek at that first. It is written in leman's terms and really makes it easy to understand before you start the cr@p shoot on taking care of things on your own.
Soy - not good whether you still have thyroid function or taking meds as an alternate.
Thanks Stella, i dont think ill take any more as i feel i need to get an increase in meds when i go back for bloods in Feb..Been good for 6 months but now i feel some symptoms returning, i dont want to mess up my blood work:) And thanks will have a look at your journal on that..
Yes, soy is not good for thyroid. But you are only taking 8g, total, so I don't think that is enough to be a concern.
Get your bloodwork and get your meds adjusted if necessary.
Yes thats true, it isn't a lot and i do find it relieves some of my symptoms without having to take HRT..
I agree 8g is not high - but our diets consume alot of soy hidden in many foods. That's the concern on really how much is the person getting.
You know stella, that thought crossed my mind tonight. We had some fried rice i made tonight and of course you have the Soy sauce on it, i thought well this is more soy i will be putting in my body. Is it something that effects us all with Hypothyroid, or some ppl it would have no effect on?
