Good afternoon and happy father's day to all the daddys. Thank you for responding to my queries. My mom underwent biopsy and until now, we are still waiting for the result. Thank you once again
A true cyst, that is filled only with liquid, are virtually always benign (non cancerous). Often there is solid components mixed with the fluid in thyroid cysts and occasionally these solid components can be malignant (cancerous).
Good evening po. If I may ask, Is there a possibility for the cyst to be cancerous when it transferred from the left to the right part of the neck? Thank you so much
If the nodules are producing excess thyroid hormone then yes it's possible since hyperthyroidism is a cause of headaches. Also to consider, nodules/cysts may be due to Hashimoto's thyroiditis and symptoms of hypothyroidism (not due to the nodules however) can include headaches.
