with females, hormone levels change constantly and you should get your tsh, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone levels checked in detail. Increase in estrogen can cause anxiety.
What type of anxiety are you having? situational? panic attacks? or is it a build up and soon you don't sleep for a day or can't sleep for more than two hours at a time type? What type?
Are you going through anything in life that is stressful or is it that your mind is constantly active with worry?
Do you feel depressed? Anyone in your family diagnosed with depression?
All of these questions will help you take a good look at yourself to help you figure out if you need a psychologist or not.
Remember, in western medicine you will almost always end up with a pill to take for a "solution". If you can figure it out yourself you avoid the doctor bill and the pill.
