Results of CT

Finally got the results and I think its great news (lots of big words - love the online dictionary)

I posted full result on Journal - CT

Impression:  Metallic BB markers were placed in the area of described abnormality and correspond to underlying prominent right thyroid lobe and right parotid gland.  The appearance of the right parotid gland is unremarkable.  The appearance of the right tyroid lobe, although asymmetrically prominent relative to the left is without evidence of discrete mass on CT.

Shotty cerfvical lymph nodes noted without evidence of pathologic lymph node enlargement.

There is patchy opacification of the right inferior mastoid air cells.

Still keeping endo appt tomorrow and followup with surgeon Tuesday.

So, this is good, right?

I'm with others...can't totally intrepret it, but there are some good things in there...like your lymph nodes being A-OK! :)  And though your right lobe is bigger, it doesn't have a mass...more good news!  They will probably want to figure out why it's bigger, but my left was 2cm biggen than my right and my right side was the one with the tumor.  Go figure!!  let us know what you find out tomorrow!

I'm not sure...it sounds like they are saying your right thyroid lobe is enlarged. That would warrant further tests, I would think!!  Congrats on finally getting some answers!
