Thyroiditis

My doctor had diagnosed me with thyroiditis in February.  He just wants to keep monitoring me because my TSH levels are fine.  I have the fatigue, sore neck, sweating, weight gain all in despite of exercising and dieting.  He refuses to put me on medication.  I just keep gaining weight and sleeping over 12 hours a day.  I want to order the medication myself and take it.  I wanted to know what advice you could give me.

Please do not try and self medicate...I understand how you feel- I was dx with hashimotos thyroisitis......I have all the symptoms also and was not put on meds...there are a few here that really understand the labs...stella and 898....if your dr is not listening to you, you may want to find a new dr.

Good luck

I would recommend seeing another doctor. I would have your levels rechecked in another month or so:) Good luck
