Tired on Synthroid .5

Hi everyone,  I am now one month post thyroidectomy.  Blood work two weeks post op were incredibly normal.  Endo started me on thyroid replacement hormone therapy of Synthroid .5 once a day.  Taken on empty stomach each morning faithfully.  I see the doctor 4/9 again but boy am I dragging.  Tired from start to finish, very low energy, which is not loke me at all.  Anyone have this problem?  Do I need a higher dosage you think?  Thanks.

You need to get a blood test periodically to get your Synthroid level just right.  If you're more tired than usual than, more and likely, you need it tweaked to a higher dose.  Definitely call or make an appointment to see your doctor!!

If you had your entire thyroid removed, your levels will start to plummet. I would say that you should call your dr right away and let him know so you can go get tested again right away. The thyroid is a funny thing and mine has plummeted on me before with meds and with my thyroid. So, I can only imagine how hypothyroid and exhausted you are right now.
You are probably in need of higher dosage of thyroid meds.
