Too much synthroid

Hello,

I sometimes mindlessly take a pill before bed and then again in the morning. This only happens occasionally but will it cause any nasty side effects?

No, it's not a weight loss pill and can be really dangerous if used as such.  But people who use it for that are taking it every day even though they don't need it.

I have heard of people without the disorder taking it to lose weight and I assumed there might be some nasty consequences to that. I'm happy that my small dosage won't effect me. Thank you :)

If it hasn't bothered you so far, it's doubtful that it will.  Unless you're very sensitive to meds, an extra dose or missed dose here and there has no impact.
