Too much synthroid?

I had a total thyroidectomy 2 years ago, just before my surgery and about every 2 months since I have what I call episodes.  They begin with a burning sensation followed by tingling in my arms and a racing heart and indigestion and extreme anxiety.  I have lost 20 lbs and wondered if my dose of 150mcg was too much.  This is very scary almost like a heart attack.u

Please double check that Vitamin D result.  could it be 20 instead of 2?

You should be aware that TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by so many variables that it is totally inadequate to be used as the sole diagnostic for thyroid issues.

For your bloodwork tomorrow, I urge that you request that they test for the biologically active thyroid hormones, which are Free T3 and Free T4 (not the same as Total T3 and Total T4).  If the doctor resists, then you should insist on it and don't take no for an answer.  You need to know these levels to really understand your thyroid status.

When results are available, then please get a copy of the lab report and post results and reference ranges and members will be glad to help interpret and advise further.
