I voted hypo. as I have a nine year old daughter who was born without a thyroid gland. I use this sight to get an "adult" perspective on life without a thyroid or life without thyroid function. Finding others who can relate to my daughter's health issues due to first-hand experience, has really helped me as a mother, who has a working thyroid gland, to"connect the dots" when being my child's health advocate. Without the people on this sight, I would have never made it through this past year. With the proper advice and guidence from this sight, my daughter is now doing well again and on the proper road to good health! Thanks to you all!
I voted hyper/graves. I am very interested in learning every thing I can about this disease before I go in for RAI this November. Thank You!
I have Hashimoto's but also have a "cold" thyroid nodule and on waiting list for TT to be done with removal of nodule
I have graves, but would just like to say a big thank you, to this thyroid forum ,as i think all you ladies do a good job, in helping people like myself, when we are at our wits end and feeling very poorly, thinking weve no-were to turn. Well thank you again as all your information has been good, and i think its good when there are people like yourselves helping people to try to get better, or there quality off life improved. Your knowledge is fantastic. THANK-YOU
I voted other. I would like to see more info. on Thyroglobulin AB and Thryoid Peroxidase AB. My Thyroglobulin AB were 557 and Peroxidase 15 and all the other were within normal range.
thyroid cancer...Papillary? caught early...total thyroidectomy and still trying to get levelled out on meds...Synthroid.... : ( Go for 6 month check next week.
I would like to see more information about metastases of thyroid cancer. Mine has spread to my neck, lymph nodes, both lungs and bone.
Thyroid cancer as an incidental finding .. micro papillaries (2 of them) along with partial thyroidectomy and on Synthroid for supression as well as other side never regained function. Surgery was 1/07 and seems like it has been ions ago even though I struggle with the Synthroid sometimes out of the blue.
I reckon most important is helping educate fellow patients so they can feel as well as they can. Making sure they know how to manage their conditions, and have good and dedicated doctors.
It is tragic that so many people suffer so badly from a condition that is essentially easily and pretty cheaply treatable.... just is sadly not well treated in many cases.... at huge cost in quality of life.
I had to vote other.
I am hypothryoid, but only ever showed with very low levels of antibodies. So unknown cause. Or maybe secondary to pituitary microadenoma which all the drs tell me (at 5 mm) is too small to have any impact..... and TSH is currently about .0001 but FT3 and FT4 in upper 1/3 of the range..
It did develop progressively and I started at low level of thyroxine moving up progressively over the past 9 years to currently 100 mcg of thyroxine and 155 mcg of dessicated thyroid.
Getting onto thyroxine it was like the lights came on again. When I added in dessicated, it was like there was color again. I start feeling suicidal and wanting to hurt myself if I go hypo, so hypo is a very good thing to avoid.
Am doing pretty ok, with the normal struggles with energy and weight and motivation.... and I can't really tell if it is thyroid or just me.
Voted Hypo/Hashi. Any new information is great though. thanks
Thank you - This is very appreciated that people are coming forward to answer the poll. Please through the weekend, take the time - talk to other members with thyroid issues and make this a community effort.
We want to keep the information YOU want flowing and need to get a feel on where you want it most.
Have a safe weekend.

I'm Hashi/hypo...still trying to get the dosage right after 3 YEARS!!! My T3 is low. No #'s but low is low!?! Taking straight synthetic T4, but I feel like after 3 years on this and my T3 still being low, something just isn't adding up! They just keep shoving more T4 down my throat.....hhmm..and ya know what? I'm getting P//SSED!! Why should I have to run to 20 different Dr.'s and pay each 1 to undertreat me, and basically IGNORE me when I try to tell them how I feel? I know I'm not alone with this, but we shouldn't have to go through this..BAD DR.'s :P
I voted for thyroid cancer. Although lately I am concerned about a lymph Nobe on my left side of neck.Endo ordered an ultrasound of the thyroid bed and the Nobe....now waiting to see my endo end of this month.Meanwhile I am googling and reading all the post here I can find on recurance of pap cancer.
Thank you for all your info.and support.
I voted other for: Multi-nodule Thyroid Goiter.
Voted Hashimoto thanks everyone for the great support.
Hypo is my main concern, the Thyroid cancer is another, parathyroids also high on my agenda. Looking more for people in my situation; which is totally a weird one! Looking for stories in the future of patients who were not diagnosed correctly and had long term (as in years) issues.
I voted other. I have hypothyroid, goiter, and nodules.
How can your blood work be normal and ultrasound have more nodules or shrinkage?
Goiter is an effect of the thyroid not working properly, what causes the enlargement and shrinkage of that?
Confused????
I'll be back Dr. Oz is on now!

Voted the hypo/Hashi, but also seeking info on parathyroid and vitamin/mineral deficiencies.
My thyroid levels are pretty good right now, so, currently, I mostly try to help others with their questions --- provided it's something I'm familiar with. If I'm not familiar, then just to stand by to support until someone else steps up to help.
Voted Hashi/Hypo..But i have found great info on here already:)
bump this post up.... I need this to stay up to the top of the page until the weekend is over.
Thanks everyone for posting your information. Plese let all your other friends here know this is on the board and it is a very important poll to vote on right now.
Thanks
I am Silent thyroiditis I would love more information on this issue I got mine while I was in the hyper stage and soon after I became hypo oh I could really tell when I went hypo I thought I was going crazy too. At least I knew this was going to happen to me imagine some one who does not know what is happening. I really think that the thyroid blood test should be more common and Dr should not wait so long to do the test. I am really lucky and my Dr caught it on the 1st visit
Hmm...click on results and it just shows comments. I voted Hypo (Hoshimoto). I didn't say in my comment above.
I had to chose other, I am clinically hypo. (TT) due to graves/hyper/goiter 15yrs ago.
I am not looking for any answers, just read posts and see if I can give my experience if I had been through what someone else is currently going through.
