So I've decided...

Just spoke to Dr again and it is 88mcg that he wants to put me on from 125. I just think it might make sense to try this dose and compare notes when I see him in 2 weeks. Is going from 125 to 88 a significant decrease. He said no, but I prefer asking you all considering you have the experience!

Thanks for everything guys!

Hmmm, kinda. If the 125mcg dose is just a tiny bit much, you may feel a bit sluggish at 88mcg. But if 125mcg makes you feel kinda "edgy", 88 could be just right. In my experience, the good news AND the bad news is that when you are near your ideal dose the "guess and check" method is the only option. Good luck.

I recommend a med/symptom journal. Just note the time you take any meds and any side effects you notice. It's helpful when you're trying to figure out if it's caused by your thyroid meds or something else...and when life is nutty because you're chasing two babies around all day!  =)

I started mine right after the surgery when I had problems with heart palpitations.  I need to get better at noting stuff in it, but it has been really helpful.

I hope the transition is smooth sailing for you, and you're soon feeling great with no side effects!

I find anything for me is significant.  I am on 88mcgs with TSH of 1.3 .... 75mcgs is 1.8 and 100mcgs is 0.667   but the side effects for me dramatically increased or decreased wtih ea. dosing change.
