Oh sorry, if your bloods are like this.0.09! FT3&4 are top of range. maybe they wont increase if your doc is like mine.My bloods are the same but still have hypo symptoms. But its a hard fight to get more done if the doc just goes by blood tests..:(
My left lobe is the one that has enlarged fom Hashi and a goiter, not my right, no idea why that is so cant answer that. But mine has gone down in size since starting on meds. Maybe You do need a little bump in meds again? Have you had a scan and biopsy of the mass? did they pick up on hashi this way? And i have heard of ppl having hashi with it not showing in the blood, some are picked up with the biopsy, others by looking at the gland with a scan...
Sorry to hear about your Hashimoto's. One way doc's treat goitres is with therapeutic doses of replacement hormone. Can one have Hashimoto w/ no antibodies??? I've only dealt with CA. Regarding goitres the conventional wisdom is that if you're not on a high enough dose of Thy Hor then your thyroid can goitre because it is working harder to produce more hormone. (Especially if ur having hypo symptoms.)
Yes the mass is centre-left. But I am HYPO and the mass is fairly new and not within the gland itself - I had the goitre before the mass. I have been taking synthroid for 10 yrs but the gland is steadily enlarging. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto, but no antibodies. My meds were increased to 150 from 100 mcg 2 months ago. I still have hypo symptoms but my TSH is now down to 0.09! FT3&4 are top of range.
I am gonna assume that the mass is on the Left lobe????
Thyroid enlargement can be caused by a couple of things: A Nodule that is within the thyroid gland, or a condition such as: hyperthyroidism or Grave's Disease.
In your case, it seems as if the nodule is the issue. Were you given a diagnosis??
AS far as the steady growth,of the nodule, that is very common and they can grown very large and cause problems.
