What does it mean when an ultrasound show lymph nodes in the thyroid?  Enlarged thyroid and thymus?  What is that?  That is what he said today.  
He is such a poop-head.  He acts as if its a big deal if you ask questions or request certain tests.
I did get him to do a cortisol test after he had to throw his little fit and then I had to throw my little fit.  LOL

Should I be worried?  He didn't give me any info on any of it.  I don't think I'm gonna go back to him.  Everything I look up about thyroid and lymph nodes leads to thyroid cancer?  Doesn't make sense to me.  Should I call the endo intern that was in with us and ask her to explain all this to me.  I call every week it seems and I feel like I'm gonna wear out my welcome.  So to speak.

Why is it not good for the isthmus to be hard and enlarged?

The isthmus is the part that connects the two lobes--in the middle.  It is not good that it is hard.
Thymus is a gland situated kind of on top of the breastbone--behind it.  It holds T-lymph cells.  Being enlarged is not a good sign either.
I think he may be a poop head if he thinks the lymph nodes are inside the thyroid--the thyroid may be enlarged and near a group of lymph nodes.
Or maybe I'm the poop head because I've never heard of it.

Sorry your exam didn't go so well today--I laughed about your fit--and his--so true!!
