What do I do now?

I show many signs of hypothyroidism but yet my t4 level came back normal. I know my body ever since my son was born I have developed these symptoms what else should I be doing to see if I really have this or not?

I just wanted to tell you that I have had thyroid symptoms for a year, mostly hypo but sometimes hyper. Yet my tests kept coming back within the normal range until very recently. There were times I nearly gave up fighting because the docs mainly don't listen unless you fight back. But with the fantastic help I've had from Stella and the others here, I did stand up for myself and I have now been diagnosed, although I can't have treatment yet until my TSH which Stella mentionned to you, settles and stays in the hypothyroid range. So I just want to say, you're right, you do know you're body as do I and we know when it doesn't feel right, so don't give up, carry on and look for answers.

In the 1950's there was no blood test available to determine hypoT symptoms - a doctor then treated patients by symptoms. We have moved into a society of labs are key and they are very important - but with hormone conditions - it is necessary for symptoms to play a part in all this too.

What is your TSH - and what tests did you have exactly?
