Why do I now have low blood pressure with high heart rate?

I've got Hashimoto's, was on Synthroid and was still feeling bad, with all over body pain. Just walking was difficult due to extreme pain in the feet. All the bones hurt, everywhere.

Switched to T3 only, but high heart rate was wearing me out, and I still had pain everywhere.

I stopped taking T3 and went back to Synthroid and started prednisone for adrenal fatigue. I can now move around without pain everywhere. My lifelong high blood pressure is suddenly gone and the blood pressure is now strangely low, so I quit taking my high blood pressure medication. But the high heart rate is still there and it's wearing me out. And the chest pains are scary. I also have weird flashes of heat and feel like my body is crashing. I sweat profusely, wet all over, and then it passes. (I'm past menopause.)

Anybody have a clue what is going on with me?

Why is the blood pressure now low? What can I do about the high heart rate? (I'm not dehydrated.)

Hi Mia,
Your response means so much to me. I actually had a better day today and my heart is not pounding nearly as much and I had only a few sweats today. I am taking 6.25mcg of T3 and 50 mcg of T4 now. I didn't know I could be hyper and hypo at the same time, but that makes sense considering my symptoms. I always thought if you had Hashi's that you would swing up or down, but I didn't realize it could actually be happening at the SAME time.

I think I was taking too much T3. I live in Mexico and prefer to medicate myself bc so far all the endos are here not good at all. I get my own labs done and then I go from there to figure out my own treatment. In MX you don't need an Rx to buy these meds. On my own I found a symptomatic Rathke's Cleft Cyst on my pituitary last fall (by MRI) and then I flew to the US  for the surgery to remove it last Thanksgiving. The recovery period has had a lot of ups and downs and I found out I also have adrenal fatigue. (The cyst had caused a lot of hypopituitary issues.)  They do not sell hydrocortisone here so I have to take prednisone. I started at 10 mg and am down to 7.5 now. Prednisone is 4 times stronger than hydrocortisone.

Wow, thank you so so so so much. I really appreciate your help.

Sounds like a imbalance in your body!
I had similar symptoms.  I have Hashi's and went on T4 synthroid and
also a T3 ....my doctor put me up too high too fast and I went Hyper with the symptoms you are describing. I found out that once Hyper it can take awhile to
"come down " and feel better.....but then what you must do is have your
Free T3 and FreeT4 along with a TSH checked to help see the level of medication you need to be on. Low blood pressure can be a sign of Hypo...while still having Hyper symptoms like the sweating. Hasti's is a tricky dis-ease!

It is a long process but you can get to feeling a lot better. I now have a lot less pain and the heat and sweats are almost gone. I am still in the fine toning stage but feel 95% better then 5 months ago!! I am still checking to see that my Free T3and 4 are in the right range.
Hang in there!!
