It's probably more likely that the pathology people got behind in doing the actual typing out of the reports.. We all expect our own results to be the only ones being done, but that just isn't the case. Often with the holiday season, the medical transcribers ( people who type out the reports) are just not available. The actual results are sitting in a voice recorded message and wait for a typist to listen to it and type it out.
It has nothing to do with if you have cancer, benign or an alien growing inside of you!
Sometimes the doctor you need to see is not aware the results are even back! Sometimes they can sit ready untill you make an appointment.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Hi Amy. Thanks for your post - yep, I've called and they have told me it is in "pending status" and they do not have a pathology report. (and I meant they changed it to between 10-14 days)
Just wondered what experiences members have had around this?
That's a difficult question to answer. Have you called the doctor's office to see if the results are in? Sometimes results come in and sit on the doctor's desk.
Good luck to you. I hope it turns out benign!
